We are having a Girl! (Evelyn Sage Scott)

 My appointment was around 11am today. they checked the heart the fluid the brain the spine a little bit of everything. They said everything looks good so far. I get to go in one more time to double check everything in about a month. The doctor was pretty funny. He said i am under the average size of a normal person and Zachary is over average. he told me maybe i should have breeded with a smaller guy. lol. he said he doesnt know what size the baby would be because im so small and zach is so big so i should hope not to have a 9 pounder or above. He said to definatly try to keep my blood sugars down in the last trimester or i just might have a huge baby.

this is a picture of the legs facing left. and there is nothing between the legs so its definatly a girl.

here is what they recorded. they measured alot of the stuff before they started recording and you really cant tell what they are showing but basically she is showing me the legs and feet then the bladder and kidneys it shows the top of the  head at the begining and you can see the ears. then at the end she showed me the babys face heart and tummy.

18 weeks

im 18 weeks now and next week i go down to st george for an ultrasound that checks for anything that may be wrong with the baby because of diabetes. during that apt we should be able to find out the gender of the baby. im sorta nervous about this apt but im really excited to finally find out what we are having. i hope the baby cooporates :)

well its been awhile...

I guess lots has happened since i last posted anything on here... im only going to talk about a little. mostly just the things that are most recent.

a couple weeks ago Zacharys cheif killed himself so Zach had a couple of days to make sure he had all his ribbons and pins and medals on his dress blues for SSG Hunts funeral. the picture below was the best i could get outa Zachary before we headed to the memorial service. Zachary really loved his cheif and this was a hard thing for him to deal with. After the memorial service we headed up to camp williams the next day for his burial.
He has his first drill this weekend since before his deployment. and he also has a PT test. He is a little nervous about the PT test. He says he hasnt really worked out since he was in iraq. so i guess we will see how he does.

Im 17 weeks pregnant today. lots has happened with my diabetes since ive become pregnant. a couple months ago my old pump broke so i was doing shots for a few days then my doctor let me borrow one they had while i waited for my new one to come in. i was in the process of getting a new one before my old one broke. they wanted to put me on a pump that has a continuous gluclose monitor because ive been getting extremly low. the continuious gluclose monitor is another thing i keep in me for about 3 days that is constantly checking my blood sugar levels so if im going too low it sends the number to my pump and my pump beeps at me til i fix it. its super annoying but it has helped alot. i still have to check my blood because the blood that the sensor checks isnt as accurate as my finger. so the numbers are always different but it is close enough so that i know i need to check my blood to make sure im ok.

Despite all my crazy lows the baby seems to be doing fine. i have an OB apt. tomorrow and at the end of the month i get a special ultrasound to totally check the baby out for anything that might be wrong. during that apt. i get to find out the gender, if the baby is being good lol. i dont really feel the baby yet. my belly feels tighter and tighter everyday. i feel really tired during the day now. the only thing i really ever crave are roast beef sandwiches and thanksgiving dinner. i can not stand toaster stroodles... i used to love them :(   i send my mom a weekly picture of me so she can see how my belly is growing. ill try to do the same on here even though the pictures are less than cute hahhah
